Our Story
Zano’s Italian Ice began at Shipyard Park as a push cart and a man with a dream. Tommy Provenzano, a retired policeman, was looking for an occupation where he could see smiling faces instead of the usual faces a policeman sees. When Mr. Tommy and Loy Stewart Jr., teamed up that’s when the magic began. Both Mr. Tommy and Mr. Loy had one thing in common, their love for sweet treats! Thus, Zano’s at Shipyard Park was born. Mr. Loy’s idea was to transform Detyens Shipyards former lobby area into an ice cream parlor. So the boys loaded up, went to ice cream school, bought the proper manufacturing equipment and began creating homemade ice cream and italian ice. After months of perfecting their recipes and thousands of taste tests — Zano’s at Shipyard Park was ready. All of our products are made on site and are gluten free.
